A +R button puts the car into maximum attack sharpening throttle response, increasing steering weight, and stiffening the dampers by 30%.

ホンダが3月、ジュネーブモーターショー15で初公開した新型『シビック タイプR』の市販モデル。7月の欧州発売を控え、同車の新写真が公表された。
新型ホンダ シビック タイプRには、新開発の直噴2.0リットル直列4気筒ガソリン「VTEC」ターボを搭載。最大出力310ps/6500rpm、最大トルク40.8kgm/2500rpmを発生する。トランスミッションは、6速MT。0‐100km/h加速5.7秒、最高速270km/hの性能を誇る。
また、新開発の「＋R」モードを採用。これは、ステアリングホイールのスイッチ操作によって、サーキットでのパフォーマンスを向上させるモード。スイッチを押すと、エンジンレスポンス、トルク特性、新開発の「アダプティブ・ダンパー・システム」が、サーキット向けの設定に変化する。また、フロントサスペンションには、「ステア・アクシス」を導入。これは、FF大パワー車にありがちなトルクステアを、最小限に抑えるシステム。
欧州ホンダは6月2日、新型ホンダ シビック タイプRの新たな画像を公開。同時に、ボディカラーなどの詳細を明らかにした。
ボディカラーは全5色。「タイプR」伝統のチャンピオンシップホワイトをはじめ、クリスタルブラック、ポリッシュドメタル、ブリリアントスポーティブルー、ミラノレッドが設定されている。(response)
